The Plough at Shenstone is a friendly restaurant
and pub situated in the idyllic Staffordshire village of Shenstone. We have a
growing reputation for serving excellent, freshly prepared, modern,
imaginative, British food in our sumptuously decorated, contemporary
restaurant. We pride ourselves on using the finest local ingredients wherever
possible and our menu is constantly changing to reflect the seasons..
The Plough is a freehouse which allows us to offer a variety of real ales and ciders from all over the country. Our wine and champagne list is splendidly diverse with a wide variety of the finest red and white wines, champagne and prosecco.
Whilst we strive for excellence and great customer service we resolutely maintain the warm welcome of a village pub with walking boots, wellingtons and dogs all welcome in the Snug Bar and Lounge.
Whether you are looking for a bite to eat at lunch, an intimate dinner for two, to celebrate with friends, a Sunday lunch with family or just a drink after work, we look forward to welcoming you.
Historically, our village was recorded in the Domesday Book as a settlement covering around 380 acres, with a large wood and a mill. The first clear reference to a church was in 1129 where records show its financial tithes were appropriated to the abbey of Oseney in Oxfordshire. Back in the 12th century the population of Shenstone was recorded to be 125 but today it has a thriving community of over 3000 residents.
